Jack Dawson has made huge inroads from his days as a filthy, penniless stowaway and has now put on the big-boy pants as Jay Gatsby, the quintessentially dapper, and shady, millionaire behind Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby adaptation. If you haven’t already noticed, we’re in pretty deep with all this. The cast couldn’t have stolen the spotlight without the help of official movie clothier Brooks Brothers, who produced over 500 authentic re-creations of day and evening ensembles from the Roaring Twenties. WWD got an exclusive first look at the archives that inspired the rakish duds, and who better to champion the task than a true, authentic American legend? Gatsby hits theaters nationwide this Christmas, incidentally the same day as another DiCaprio release. The world is not ready.
