The Skirt: How To Survive A Fashion Party

None

"The Skirt" is an ongoing series in which Four Pins' resident lady friend, Rachel Seville, becomes the most important woman in your life.

You’ve been to a party before and had a rad time. But a fashion party is a totally singular experience—there are no cone birthday hats, no cookies to decorate with icing and, most unfortunately, no balloon animals. Maybe you’ve crashed one before, but now, some PR intern definitely thinks you deserve to be there and that is a whole different (balloon) animal. You’re taking a polar bear plunge into a room of underage Amazon beauties and guys who work in social media for some 60-year-old tractor shirt brand and the kind of people who get quoted and name-checked in this article.

Well folks, put on your non-cone party hats because I’m going to tell you how I’ve made it through a fashion party before. It isn’t always easy, but the results are rarely worth it. Wait. Ignore that last part. Click above and go, go, go!
