The Skirt: How To Age Gracefully Into Your Twenties

"The Skirt" is an ongoing series in which Four Pins' resident lady friend, Rachel Seville, becomes the most important woman in your life.

Happy New Year! We’re old.

It’s true! Our skin may not yet be the stuff of wet crepe paper pinatas, and we can still hear and remember people's names (well, if we ever could). Much of popular culture is still for us even if Bieber prepaid debit cards aren't exactly for us, we can still, you know, use them (can't we?!). But oh my heavens to Betsy, do you know how old high schoolers on television are? They’re our age. They’re in their twenties. Even the ones on Sixteen and Pregnant. And that, folks, means we're 100% USDA Prime Grade Old.

Yep, in just a few years, we’ll all be climbing up stainless steel pool ladders in one-piece bathing suits. And then you’ll be old men with lanterns, which is the ultimate fate of menswear bloggers. But until then, you’ve got a few more years to get through—and you don’t want to blow it by subscribing to some basic “dance like no one’s watching shit.” Arrivo!
