Food culture and lifestyle magazines are how you trick everyone into thinking you are a forward thinking man of the world. They're basically longer, bound Pitchfork reviews. You don’t actually ever cook any of the recipes, you just remember to say how you like to add cardamom to some dishes when you’re out to dinner with that girl that makes her own macarons.
