Kent & Curwin Fall/Winter 2014 And The Return Of Simon Spurr

None

Yo, I had no idea what Kent & Curwin was until I heard Simon Spurr designed the brand's new Fall/Winter 2014 collection, which means they're now #semi #relevant in the #menswear #blogosphere. See, just a few short years ago, Simon's eponymous label was killing the game and every editor in the world was saying he was going to be the next Ralph tho. That didn't exactly work out, and the label ended up folding in 2012 following Simon's departure. After that, he consulted on Tommy Hilfiger for a minute (for which Tommy gave not a ton of credit, but a lot of money). But now, Mr. Spurr has returned to design what I'm told is a brand that was founded in 1926 so, yeah, I'm obviously slipping. Side note: Do you guys remember when Simon Spurr had a pony tail LOL?

Okay, now that I've got the ponytail out of the way, we can talk about Kent & Curwin. The clothes aren't really our steelo aside from the biker jacket, but, then again, if you don't like a biker jacket you probably don't have a soul. The clothes have a distinctive British Naval vibe, which basically means girls will tell you that you look "sharp" when you wear them. Like, these are clothes you want to wear on a first date to a restaurant you can't afford to eat at with a girl who has family money so you can pretend you don't live in a 4th floor walk-up in Brooklyn. Then you just have to make sure you head back to her place at the end of the night so she doesn't see the1200 graphic tees that have taken up a permanent residency on your floor.
