While many of us are currently preoccupied with such important decisions like which new runner to rock or which Jordan retro to cop, let's, for a moment, reminisce about the glory days of Nike's oft-forgotten hiking program. It's hard to believe, but back in the early '80s Nike pioneered a lightweight hiking footwear revolution with a boot called the Lava Dome that was far too ahead of its time. The resulting marketing campaign was dubbed "Worn To Be Wild," and one hardcore collector from Berlin turned his hiking boot collection into a digital museum of the same name. The quality of materials and craftsmanship on OGs like these is unsurpassed for Nike, and sadly, can never and will never be reproduced. Shit just ain't the same these days, but at least you can bask in all this hi-res glory for a moment of Nike euphoria.
