Dior Homme's Fall/Winter 2013 Lookbook Is Stanley Kubrick's Vision Of The Future

None

Dior Homme just dropped the lookbook for their F/W 2013 collection and the clothes look very, well, Dior Homme. The ideas are minimal and vague, with their signature photography still very much the focus. Juxtaposing the looks with vibrant, multi-color images of outdoors and architecture, is sure to please the kind of folks who incessantly yell about fashion being art in an effort to reconcile their inherent materialism. I don't know about you, but I can't help but be reminded of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey when I see this. You know, like, the blues and oranges when homeboy is flying at light speed through the universe on some next level psychedelic shit for 20 straight minutes? In fact, the clothes look exactly like what Stanley Kubrick and his costume designer thought astronauts would be rocking in the year 2001, which, if we're being honest, was basically the same shit they were wearing in '68, just darker and simpler. Wait, darker and simpler? Would ya look at that, we've circled right back to Dior Homme.
