The Hill-Side x Gitman collaboration makes a lot more sense than most collaborations out there because most collaborations out there make zero fucking sense. I mean, The Hill-Side dudes are pretty much fabric and pattern masters and Gitman makes really nice shirts. It’s like a samurai teaming up with a master swordmaker. Or something like that. I do know that a good patterned shirt is essential to your life. I’m not going to explain how or why it is because that’s not what you do in the high stakes game of fashion journalism—you just say shit is essential and it magically becomes such.
