Nike x Pigalle Is Coming

None

Today sees the out of nowhere announcement that Nike is collaborating with too cool for this earth French streetwear label Pigalle, so WOW. Although Pigalle typically resists its streetwear affiliations in the form of tailored clothing and elegant, theatrical presentations, this shit basically solidifies them as everything we thought they were. And that's not a bad thing, but, like, yo, Stephane Ashpool, dawgie, you are skreetwear. No details are currently available regarding what the two labels will be working on together (a basketball? sneakers? hoodies?), but it's starting to look like Nike is recognizing Adidas's 2014 turbo collabo business model and is now doing their best to one-up the competition in terms of coolness and overall product. If the Tisci AF1's are anything to go off of, this shit is finna be HYPE.

Update: Pigalle's Stephane Ashpool Instagrammed the above photo of the soul of the collaborative shoe, revealing that it is indeed an Air Force 1 style that draws heavily from basketball influences.

Update II: Dazed just unveiled the above editorial, which shows that the collection will feature tank tops, shorts, hats and a basketball in addition to both a Hi and Lo Air Force 1s. Style.com has their own in-depth look at the product and revealed that Pigalle x Nike will drop April 26th at Dover Street Market.
