Here's a more than exciting partnership for you to feast your eyes on. Nike has teamed up with Stone Island to help turn 2016 into The Year of Windrunner. The jacket has been around since the late '70s and was the first piece of Nike apparel worn by athletes. Over the years, the piece has been modified and improved, but bringing Stone Island into the fray, it's clear Nike wants to take it to the next level fabric-wise. The chevron-shaped top panel and hood are made of Mussola Gommata, which is cotton and polyurethane bonded together to create a material that is water- and wind-resistant while the body is made of Stone Island staple Nylon Metal and lined with ultra-warm Primaloft. The pieces also echo that washed look that's a result of the garment dyeing process and creates a worn-in aesthetic. We saw the navy joint a couple weeks ago at a press preview and it does not disappoint at all.

This isn't just about the jackets though. The partnership also brings us a sneaker. The Koth Ultra Mid hiker-sneaker hybrid uses those same water- and wind-resistant materials on the upper to keep it sealed tight. Hell, even the dust bags are made from Stone Island's Nylon Metal material. This is really a partnership to drool over. Fortunately, your spit won't sink in. The full collection drops on December 17th at Stone Island flagship stores, Stoneisland.com, at selected NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelab.
