Alexander Wang's Spring/Summer 2015 Womenswear Collection Is Completely Inspired By Your Favorite Sneakers

We're no strangers to writing about the occasional piece of womenswear at Four Pins. You know, an item here and there from the other side of the aisle isn't a bad thing. But posting about an entire collection? That's some foreign territory for us. Thankfully, it doesn't need to be because for his S/S 15 womenswear collection, Alexander Wang based nearly every single look off of sneakers. From the materials to the colors and patterns, A. Wang's latest pulled inspiration from the ground up, literally, as he dropped his favorite sneaker details all over the goddamn place: multi-color heels were woven together like Nike's Air Woven series, dresses and handbags took inspiration from your favorite Air Jordans and Air Maxes and the iconic white/green Stan Smith palette got its very own color story on the runway. There's even Jordan Brand's legendary elephant print and an embossed sneaker sole patterned dress. Yo, the boy A. Wang went innnnnn on this one. Butthurt over the girlies stealing all our sneaker hype? Too bad for you, man. It's not going anywhere apparently.
