The controversial A.P.C. F/W 15 presentation was well-documented and the fallout from Jean Touitou's misguided choice of words was swift. Now, he gives his first real interview since the incident with The Guardian. Touitou is well-known as one of the most out-spoken figures in fashion—he views those signature rants as a way to put a spin on things and he tends to start beef with anyone and everyone, which is what we love about him. While he expresses regret over what happened a couple of weeks ago, he definitely didn't stop doing what he does best: talk his shit.

He apologizes for his words, but still backpedals with the initial reasoning behind it, referring to the Kanye and Jay Z song that was regularly played upwards of eight times in a row as an encore during the Watch The Throne tour: "If all the people had been singing this song, including white people, will they get into trouble for using that word? I was just quoting a song, but I was ignorant of the power of that word, that it would upset so many people, and I deeply regret that."

The piece is a little bit brief, in all honesty, but it doesn't focus solely on the controversy, instead maybe starting another, this time against Sandro and The Kooples, two growing Parisian brands in roughly the same bracket as A.P.C. As you can imagine, Touitou is not a fan: "I have absolutely no respect and I don’t give a damn about them." He also compares both brands to Ponzi schemes, "a French ungifted musician trying to pretend he's rock'n'roll" and "a fashion monster regurgitating the work of Céline’s Phoebe Philo." Well, that sure is one way to move onto another issue.
