Jil Sander Leaves Jil Sander (Again)

None

The only thing Jil Sander seemingly loves more than designing clothes for her eponymous label is leaving her eponymous label. This now marks the third time in the past fifteen years that Sander has bid adieu to the brand she founded in 1968: The first in 1999 after selling a majority stake in the company to Prada and the second in 2003 after she had beef with Prada's CEO. Between 2005 and 2012, the brand was quarterbacked by ya boy Raf Simons (aka Ralph Simmons), who lead the label into the fashion limelight while simultaneously establishing himself as one of the world's best fashion designers. This time around, Sander has cited "personal reasons," which could literally mean "I'm just not feeling it right now" or "Yo, I'm kinda old though." Look for her to return sometime next week.
