A few weeks ago, we got to see John Elliott's F/W 15 collection firsthand. We entered his temporary studio here in New York and were immediately asked to please refrain from photography, which was a bit curious until he mentioned that he was in the midst of planning his first ever New York Fashion Week runway show. Then, that secrecy made complete. We looked around and previewed everything and it looked pretty damn glorious, from already established favorites to new silhouettes.

Well, earlier today, it all finally came down the runway, as John sent his latest creations out into a room packed with buyers, press and celebrities. He had 30 looks. THIRTY! This from a brand who has built a rabid fan base around a sweatshirt with side-zips and an interior kangaroo pocket. But it's clear that John Elliott is no longer defined by a single garment and his F/W 15 collection proved just that with more outerwear, more custom fabrics, genius layering devised by the shows stylist, Details' Eugene Tong, new and improved versions of previous pieces and a crowd that drew the likes of noted John Elliott sweatpants wearer Kanye West, who sat second row of all places, changing the seating game forever. Then there's the shoes: Air Force Ones were common, but more noteworthy were the all white and all black with mint sole LeBron 12 IDs that might be more of a signal of John and Nike's relationship moving forward, as per Style Dot Com's Noah Johnson, than a runway one-off. All the praise in the world for JE, friend of Four Pins and a true talent who continues to impress season after season.
