Market Week Recap: Brooklyn We Go Hard Spring/Summer 2013

None

One of the nicer surprises at Capsule this week was newish French label Brooklyn We Go Hard. I know what you’re thinking, "Two dudes from Iowa probably moved to Brooklyn and started a clothing label. I bet they complain about Midwest tourists in New York and constantly tell you about the ‘authentic’ taco spot in Queens when you’re eating at Chipotle." WRONG MOTHAFUCKA. As weird as it sounds, BWGH (I’m not typing that whole thing out every time) is actually a Parisian label. The name stems from the origins of the company—the brand started out making T-shirts and the prints on the shirts were photos taken in Brooklyn. The tees are strong, but for only being around for a year and a half, BWGH has expanded its collection in a legit way. Strong original prints, marled knits, dip dyed sweaters and an amazing line of color blocked lightweight suede blousons round out the collection for S/S 13. The playfulness and attention to detail really set BWGH apart from most of the other exhibitors we saw during market week.
