SSAP may be your new favorite brand in a few month's time. Designed by a young woman fresh out ya boy's alma mater, Parsons The New School For Design (go Flying Sewing Machines!), the clothes are simultaneously athletic and military inspired (see: long sleeve baseball jersey with cargo pockets). Other standouts include a linen blend, indigo-dyed shirt made in collaboration with a small village in Thailand (there's a mini capsule collection of Thai-made goods), as well as an indigo anorak that features a hockey jersey-esque, leather lace up closure. As the jersey trend reaches its apex, SSAP provides a much more natural and rugged take on athletic gear that keeps it from being trendy. These are pieces that lend themselves to interesting styling, layering and, most importantly, an on point, consistent look for seasons to come.
