Public School also won the regional competition back in July, and almost $150,000 in prize money as a result.

Public School was named the winner of the inaugural men's International Woolmark Prize on Friday, further proving that if Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are in a competition, they will most likely will.

2013 saw the designers take home the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund top prize. Last year, they received both the CFDA Award for Menswear and the inaugural U.S. Woolmark Prize for Menswear.

The winner was decided by a panel of judges, including designer Paul Smith, GQ UK editor Dylan Jones, Style.com's Tim Blanks and Nick Wooster. They beat out some stiff competition in Asger Juel Larsen, Sise, Strateas.Carlucci and The Emperor 1688.

The designers expressed their thanks on Instagram, saying that they are “extremely proud to be THE first US based winner for the International #WoolMarkPrize for 2015.” They also thanked their fellow nominees. The Prize netted Public School $94,000 in prize money, on top of the $47,000 they received for winning the regional competition back in July. Not too shabby.
