Real Tearz: Red Octobers Are Not Releasing On December 27th After All

Sorry, everyone. We regret to inform you that Foot Locker just tweeted that the Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Red October" will NOT be releasing on December 27 after all. While we broke news a couple days ago after the sneaker appeared on Foot Locker's release calender, which was then amended to an "online only" release, the company apparently ran into some unknown problems that hindered the imminent release. We hate to say it, but this is probably the last straw in what was already a doomed and complicated unveiling of the sneaker. Then again, clearly Nike made these sneakers and we doubt they're going to just throw them in the trash (if you see any in the garbage in Portland though, holla at us). Details at this time are sparse as to what happened, but we feel it is safe to assume that the decision to halt the drop has something to do with Kanye West's current deal with Adidas. It's highly possible that Kanye told Nike that they did not have his permission to drop the sneaker, given that they use his likeness and trademark "Yeezy" name. Real tears, fellas.
