The only Asics I've ever owned were for going to the gym, but these Gel Lyte Vs are pretty excellent. Yeah, I never even got into Asics when Ronnie Fieg was making them (and in the process, himself) a thing a few years back. I don't know, Asics to me sort of just fit the mold of the semi-well-dressed-but-something-is-just-off-about-it-all-streetweary-mensweary-downtown-NYC-cool-guy that I don't ever want to be. Maybe it's the colorway on this particular Gel Lyte that makes them feel more like a dad sneaker than anything else, which in turn makes them an easier pill to swallow. Or maybe it's just that I'm tired of writing about New Balance, Nike and Adidas. Either way, these are available for pre-order right now on End for $155.
