According to the Financial Times (paywall article, sorry, but don't worry 'cause I got you), the shining beacon of hope for everyone in need of new tees, underwear and socks, Uniqlo, might be forced to raise its prices. This has to do with some very deep economic issues that I am not authorized to discuss, but the crux of the matter here is the value of the yen, which has fallen 17% in comparison with the dollar. So, even though Uniqlo owner Fast Retailing's profit rose a metric shit ton recently, they're still pushing for a 5% increase in prices across the board. Fortunately, Uniqlo occupies a pretty dope space within the retail market i.e. cheaper than everywhere else we would like to spend our money, but with quality good enough to make up for the price difference, so this price hike, likely to go into effect this summer, probably won't have much of an effect on sales, if any at all. If those precious nickels are going to impact your jawnz budget, there's still time to cop all the essentials you need before shit gets out of your embarrassingly struggle price range.
